Are you kidding me? Check out Al Wagner's 1972 LT1-ZR1 in the photo gallery. Only 20 LT1/ZR1'S were built in 1972. Of those, only 13 are accounted for, making this one of the rarest Corvettes. In 2004 one of these 13 - however in blue - was sold at Barrett-Jackson for $110000!

Corvettes only Cruise Night June 24 2009 at Strats Yes its True Elmhurst’s Cool Cars Under the Stars canceled both Corvette Nights! Why I guess they do not feel that Vettes are Cool? So CHICAGOLANDS FAMOUS DRIVE- IN STRATS.... Will host them at ....231 E. NORTH AVE.. ..VILLA PARK.. ..IL.... On the same Wednesdays as in the past years June 24th and August 26th .

D & M Corvette Specialists of Downers Grove, Illinois, hosted an outstanding Open House on Saturday, May 16, 2009. It wasn't your usual display of CORVETTES only, but an array of all kinds of Cars from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. DON'T GET ME WRONG; I am a BONIFIED CORVETTE NUT! But it was nice to mix it up a little with some outstanding Cars from my youth. |

An L88 Corvette is used to shaking the world around it, but at the Mecum High Performance Auction in St. Charles, Illinois last weekend, an extremely low mile one owner 1969 Corvette L88 shook the auction world by selling for $446,250. Previous high of a 1969 L88 sold at an auction was set back in January 2006 at Barrett-Jackson for $334,800.

 This years NCRS Florida Meet offered an added attraction!!! Down the Road about 12 miles east, The MECUM Auction was selling some very rare and outstanding CORVETTES. This I found to be the perfect compliment to the wonderfull display of CORVETTES that were being judged in Old Town Kissimee. After admiring the Top Flight examles and rumaging through the rare parts in the swap meet section; I found myself at the auction getting caught up in the exitement of the crowd.
